Pongal Celebration at Chennai Middle School

With the Festival of Harvest round the corner, about 12 Frost S.E.R.V.I.C.E volunteers visited the Chennai Middle school for underprivileged children to celebrate Pongal. We fostered the idea of smokeless bhogie and using eco-friendly alternatives to plastic among the children. Our volunteers conducted few games, planted tree saplings and put mehendi for the kids. We distributed sweets to the children and staff of the school and concluded our visit on a sweet note.

Old Age Home visit – Chennai

About 40 volunteers along with their families visited Little Sisters of the Poor, an old age home. We conducted games like Tambola for the residents of the home. Some elders mesmerized us with their charming voices and sportiveness. Also the employees contributed provisions for a month for the Home.

DESKIT donation to Chennai Middle School

An enabling environment is crucial to foster learning, specially for children. With this in mind, Frost S.E.R.V.I.C.E Chennai sponsored a few school bags with a detachable desk (called DESKIT) to enable students of Chennai Middle School – a school for underprivileged children, study more comfortably. About 20 Frost S.E.R.V.I.C.E volunteers visited the school and distributed the bags to children studying in classes 5th-7th. The kids were very excited to receive the new bags and it gave us a sense of contentment to see them smile.
